What is HCOP

The Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) is a federally funded program located at Stony Brook University (SBU). HCOP is affiliated with the School of Health Technology and Management (SHTM) in the Health Sciences Center. The goal of HCOP is to provide for a more diverse and competitive applicant pool of under-represented individuals in grades 7 through 12, as well as adults, to pursue careers in the allied health professions. HCOP will accomplish this by offering exciting and interesting programs for social, academic and career oriented students in grades 7 through 12, parents and community members. Best of all, every program HCOP offers is FREE for participants.

What are HCOP's Activities

Career Fairs present the allied health careers offered at School of Health Technology and Management, to students in grades 7 through 12. Clubs are for students in grades 7 through 12 who are interested in learning about the health professions and the required academic preparation.
